ICA co-signs Agreement for promoting the quality of services of Abu Dhabi Airport

ICA co-signed a unified joint cooperation agreement between Abu Dhabi International Airport, Etihad Airways, General Administration of Customs, Abu Dhabi and the ICA in order to provide high-quality services at Abu Dhabi International Airport.


The signing of the agreement was attended by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Transport.


This was reported in a press release published today by UAE newspapers.


The agreement was signed by Major General Maktoum Ali Al Sharifi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police, Rashid bin Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Major General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Acting Director General of the Foreigners Affairs and Ports and at ICA, Mohammed Al Bulooki, Chief Operating Officer at Etihad Airways and Bryan Thompson Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports.


H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination among the strategic partners. He also noted that for achieving further cooperation and integration between Abu Dhabi institutions with a view to upgrade the services quality and level, all efforts should be aligned with dedication and sincerity. This is to ultimately consolidate the pillars of the comprehensive development renaissance in the various fields, which is currently experienced in the Emirate and to work together to deeply establish its leading position at the regional and international levels.


The agreement comes in line with joining effort to upgrade the quality of services management provided to passengers and enhance the experience of travelling through Abu Dhabi International Airport. The agreement further reflects the concepts of cooperation and integration in providing and improving services at all airport facilities.

The agreement aims at facilitating travel procedures, speeding up the completion of passengers’ transactions and providing quality services, according to the highest standards of quality, customer service, security and safety. This will include all services starting from arriving to the airport, registration of passengers, customs clearance, baggage handling, usage of smart travel gates and electronic passport platforms and transit through security checkpoints until boarding and vice versa.
