Dr. Al Ghafli reviews Sharjah e-government services during GITEX 2016

HE Dr. Saeed Abdullah bin Mutlaq Al Ghafli, Director General of the Emirates ID Authority, visited Sharjah e-Government Stand at GITEX Technology Week 2016 as a part of the Emirates ID Authority participation in this event which kicked off last Sunday. Accompanied by Dr. Sabri Al Azazi, Executive Director of Central Operations Sector, Abdul Aziz Al Mamari, Director of Government and Community Liaison, and Omar Al Mamari, Head of the Department of Services and Facilities at the Emirates ID Authority, Dr. Al Ghafli met HE Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Department of e-Government and reviewed the department efforts to make optimal use of information technology to offer governmental services to citizens, residents, visitors, business sector and several electronic channels in order to facilitate their transactions and life.

Dr. Al Ghafli discussed with HE Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi the ways of cooperation between the Emirates ID Authority and the Department of e-Government in the area of development of electronic and smart services and innovative solutions, applications and services in order to achieve the integration and connection between the governmental entities. They also discussed the ways to enable the Department of e-Government to make use of the data of the population register held by the Emirates ID Authority for the purpose of developing both individual and corporate services.

Dr. Al Ghafli praised the services offered by the Department of e-Government to the public and the governmental entities and the achievements made in supporting e-transformation and efficient operation management in these entities through the comprehensive use of the state-of-the-art information technology and communication.
